Two taps, no app store

Put Pantry Pals on your phone.

It installs straight from your browser and then behaves like any other app — its own icon, full screen, no browser bars. Nothing to download and nothing to keep updated.

On an iPhone or iPad

Safari only — this is the one Apple makes you do by hand.

  1. 1Open pantrypals in Safari. It has to be Safari — Chrome on an iPhone can’t add things to your home screen.
  2. 2Tap the Share button in the bar at the bottom.
  3. 3Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Can’t find it? The Share button is the square with an arrow coming out of the top.

On an Android phone

Chrome can do this in one tap.

  1. 1Open pantrypals in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the menu in the top right.
  3. 3Tap Install app — or Add to Home screen on older versions.

Chrome sometimes offers this itself, as a banner at the bottom of the screen. Either route puts the same app on your home screen.

On a laptop

Chrome or Edge — handy for planning the week at a desk.

  1. 1Open pantrypals in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2Look for the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar.
  3. 3Click it, then Install. It opens in its own window, without browser tabs.

Safari on a Mac can’t do this yet — use it as a normal tab there, or add it to your phone instead.

Ready when you are.

Install it now or later — it works the same in a browser tab while you make up your mind.
